Exhibition of rare Isaak Brodsky paintings from private collections

Starting from November 24, Isaak Brodsky museum-apartment offers a unique opportuntity of seeing rarely exhibited paintings and graphics by the famous Soviet artist.

The exhibition displays both the early watercolours, painted during Brodsky trips to France and Italy, as well as later heartfelt landscapes depicting various seasons, portraits and memorial photographs.

Brodsky, the author of inimitably refined lyrical style, was an eminent professional, educated in St. Petersburg Academy of Arts. He was the favourite student of Ilya Repin - the great Russian master. Brodsky also created several monumental paintings related to the 1917 Revolution and portraits of the Communist party elite, which brought him the fame of the number-one Soviet Russia painter.
