Russian-Chinese forum claims prospects for tourism

The Russian-Chinese forum "Trends and prospects for cooperation in the economy, culture, tourism" was held at the Russian-Chinese business park on January 24, 2019.

The Forum was held on the eve of the celebration of the Chinese New Year - the Merry Spring Festival, which will be celebrated in the Northern Capital for the fifth time. The event was organized by the Government of St. Petersburg and the Consulate General of China in St. Petersburg with the support of the Russian-Chinese Business Center.

The Forum was opened by the speaches of Vladimir Zapevalov, representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in St. Petersburg, Arbi Abubakarov, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg, and Mr. Chen Zhigang, Director General of the Russian-Chinese Business Park. The Director General of the Guest Card of St. Petersburg Nikolay Dmitriev also took part in the Forum.

A part of the program was dedicated to Ji'an City, Jiangxi Province, that presented its potential in the field of culture, tourism and commerce. The presentation allowed the Forum participants to get acquainted with the city of Ji'an and open up opportunities for communication and cooperation between business representatives of Russia and China. Participants noted the common historical features of Ji'an and St. Petersburg: “The cradle of the Chinese revolution” and “The cradle of three revolutions” have all the prospects for the development of “red tourism”.

The business program was continued by the performance of artists from the Co Cha Ge Opera and Ballet Theater of the city of Ji'an.
