The Art of Fan Museum


From March 1 to April 1 the museum is closed for technical reasons.

The symbol of power and status back in the ancient times, a luxury during the Baroque period and a tool of amorous intrigues at XVIII-century courts - these are just a few interesting facts related to the history of fan, an accessory which is more than one thousand years old.

“The Art of Fan” museum hosts a unique private collection of over 300 fans from almost every corner of the world, the oldest of which date back to the XVII century. In the world there are only three museums of this kind - the two others are located in London and Paris.

Learn more about the history of fan, admiring a collection of exclusive objects in opulent interiors which befit the imperial capital of Russia.
