Alliluev Apartment-Museum

Back

This place that welcomes visitors since 1937 has often been referred to as ‘Lenin’s secret apartment’. Lenin, the leader of the Soviet revolution, lived here for 3 days in July, 1917 while hiding from persecution of the Provisional Government. So, if you are interested in the Soviet period of Russian history, this would be a nice opportunity to imagine daily life of a skilled worker in early XX century. Alliluev was father to Nadezhda Allilueva - a future wife of Joseph Stalin. The apartment has remarkably preserved various original artefacts and the atmosphere of pre-revolutionary St. Petersburg.
