Russian Ethnography Museum

Back

The Ethnography Museum was established in 1902 by a special edict of Nicholas II. Its collection provides an interesting overview of various peoples who settled on Russian land throughout its history. National costumes, an amazing crafts heritage, life-size models of typical regional buildings - all of this makes for a fascinating insight into Russian culture, which is really one of diversity. Make sure you visit a special storeroom, containing exquisite national jewellery, pieces of armoury made of precious metals and stones, and other unique exhibits of XVII-XX centuries.

Visitors with St. Petersburg Card receive an extra benefit - 30% discount on one of the chosen tours:
- Guided tour «The Treasures of the Special Storeroom» (45 min.; Russian, English, Italian)
- Tour of the museum, including the Special Storeroom (1,5 hours; Russian, English)
