Sergey Kirov Museum

The museum is open on January 3-5. From December 31 to January 2 and on January 6-8 the museum is closed.

This is a memorial five-room apartment of Sergey Kirov, the Leningrad Communist chief and Stalin's closest friend and associate. He lived here from 1926 to 1934. What makes the museum especially interesting is that the collection of personal belongings is totally authentic, and that the interior elements have been kept intact, almost entirely.

Kirov's apartment is a remarkable monument of Stalin's era, which transports its visitors to Leningrad of the 1920s-1930s, allowing to feel the day-to-day social, economic and cultural reality of that time.
