Russian Political Police Museum

The museum is closed for reconstruction from November 8 till August 2020.

The museum exhibition traces the history of Russian political police before, during and after the Revolution. It is the only place in Russia where you can see rare historical exhibits from Russian secret services. There is an exhibition devoted to Tsarist secret police, created to suppress revolutionary movements. Other exhibitions cover Soviet KGB period and give a chance to learn more about most brilliantly executed operations of that time both at home and abroad.
