Priory Castle

The Priory Castle is a unique XVIII-th century construction made of rammed earth. This spire-shaped castle is an architectural symbol of Gatchina. It was commissioned by Paul I for the knights of the Maltese order, who received patronage from Russian Emperor after the French Revolution. The Museum offers a tour in the Priory Castle focusing on its history, the Maltese order, building techniques and legends connected with the castle.

On October 29 and November 5, 2018 Priory Castle will be open
