Lenin's Shalash Museum

The Razliv Museum Complex is located in Sestroretsk, the popular out-of-town public rest area (30 km from the city centre).

Its exposition covers the period when Lenin, the founder of Russian Communist party, was hiding from the persecution of Provisional Government. “Lenin’s Shalash (The Branch Shelter)” displays his temporary hide-out, where he lived masked as a Finnish haymaker, the “Green Study” and various monuments to the Soviet revolution leader. The museum hosts a permanent exposition “Historical Drama: 1917, from spring to autumn”.
