How to top up the balance

To use the transport pass, first you need to top up its balance. This can be done online or at metro cash desks or at e-terminals located in metro station ground halls. Please note that this money cannot be charged back. 

Top up transport balance for St. Petersburg Card

1) Press "Top up the unified e-purse" - the button on display and only after that insert the Card into the reading slot*

2) The terminal will read and display the current balance. Then, press the button "Pay"

3) Insert the required amount (both banknotes and coins) into the cash acceptor, or pay using a bank card

4) Press the button "Top up", wait for the confirmation message that the payment has been accepted and remove the Card

*Note: In case of an error message saying "service is temporarily unavailable", try again after several minutes, use another terminal, or ask the cashier to help you.

A day pass can be purchased at the ticket offices of the subway at the following rates:

  • 1 day (24 hours) — 185 RUB
  • 2 days (48 hours) — 265 RUB
  • 3 days (72 hours) — 355 RUB
  • 4 days (96 hours) — 440 RUB
  • 5 days (120 hours) — 530 RUB
  • 6 days (144 hours) — 620 RUB
  • 7 days (168 hours) — 705 RUB

Prices are updated in January 2020 and only given for information. Tarifs are stated by transport institutions.
